The Coolest 24 hour is one of the few ultra events in the country that is 100% non-profit that gives all of its profit to a great cause. Thanks to all the volunteers and sponsors and to some of the most giving racers in the country. This shows that the Auburn, Cool and the greater Sacramento area mountain bike community truly care about the fight against cancer.
I was part of 2 teams: a 2-person 8-hours team (Team Zen-Balance) and a corporate 24hr team (Team Unknown Rider). Results are posted here.
This really a nice event, great course, great company, food and an amazing vibe.
We placed 6th out of 9 teams in the 2x 8hr with my friend Kris and 5th out of 10 in the corporate 24th category.
This is definitely something to look forward to do again next year.
