This is the big race: you spend almost an entire season preparing for it and when the time comes you are not ready.
This year the beginner class race was on Friday afternoon: I didn’t plan too well for traffic and stuff so I arrived at Laguna Seca few minutes after 3PM, a little too late [...]

Day started really early at 4:30AM as I had to drive down from San Jose to Monterey, Left at 5AM and got there around 6:10AM. Along the way I found some heavy rain in a couple of spots, but when I arrived in Laguna Seca sky was covered but no rain.
Got a nice parking spot [...]

This was my first mountain bike race ever: it’s a great sport event and I recommend it
to anyone willing to approach racing, as it is a lot of fun and adrenaline.
